The plans will see three interconnected buildings added to the existing site providing around 280,000 sq ft of new space.
UEL’s compus expansion will include a landmark 16-storey student accommodation block.
Next to it will be built a large U-shaped footprint 6-storey mixed-use building providing 60,000 sq ft of extra residential space, a health and wellness centre as well as a teaching nursery, forming a large courtyard.
A third teaching block building (pictured above) will be connected to six storey brick-clad building.
According to planning documents a contractor has still not been appointed although the university hopes to start site clearance by January 2024 with first piling starting in the spring.
